Sometimes libraries and library consortia invite me to do a presentation about one or another of the topics about which I’ve written. I’ve done talks about marketing, branding, trend tracking and most recently about merchandising. I really believe that the topics I present can make a difference to libraries so I’m posting some of those presentations here. Please feel free to use this information – just give me a nod somewhere to recognize my work.

Branding
In 2006 while working at the Beebe Library in Wakefield, MA I worked on a program called “Me and My Shadow” with a group of other assistant library directors. The program ultimately ended up winning the H.W. Wilson Library Staff Development award from the American Library Association. You can see the press release about the program here. A summary of the program from my book “What They Don’t Teach You in Library School” can be read here.
